Topics, Trends & Technologies: Looking Ahead To DISTRIBUTECH
By Jamal Syed, HEXstream President & CEO
I’ve attended the DISTRIBUTECH conference many times. What brings me back year after year is the focus on trending topics in our transmission/distribution space and the opportunities to network with the decision-makers who are propelling those trends.
The theme for DISTRIBUTECH 2024–”Experience the Energy Movement”–aligns perfectly with our 2024 strategies at HEXstream, particularly harnessing emerging capabilities in the energy sector (think artificial intelligence and DERMS), and studying the impact of electric vehicles on asset health and grid resiliency.
All of us are focused on how these trends can result in better experiences for energy customers. While our business partners are utilities, we always consider utilities’ partners (their end-users) when developing programs to optimize energy operations.
Because of this alignment, I am particularly excited about this year’s conference. I will be there with my HEXstream colleague Andreas Walters, engaging with old friends and new faces, sharing updates on our new offerings and learning about our peers' programs. I hope to see you in Orlando!
